Another blog I’ve recently started reading that I thought I would share, from Carolyn Gardner (and co-workers) at Sitebrand.

I’ve worked with Carolyn’s firm both recently as well as when she was founder & president of Cardcommunications before it was purchased by Sitebrand, and she’s provided good e-marketing execution services for our firm. We’re a small advertising agency, and do strategy and creative in-house, but trying to send our own eBlasts and other online eMarketing programs would be stupid. Doing that sort of thing in-house, unless you really know what you’re doing, can get you or even your entire corporate domain flagged as spammers – not a good thing! :-(

An article from Carolyn…

Landing Page Letdown and Conversion Impact … Referral traffic is bouncing nearly 50% of the time. Why? Well I would say it’s because the landing page isn’t measuring up. Visitors are compelled enough to click links from other sites or emails and yes, this is good. But unfortunately, all too often, the landing pages miss the mark…

And one from Kelly…

Get Inspired – How retailers are using social media … Chapters-Indigo has made the bold move of starting its own community for “booklovers” (apparently it’s one word to Chapters). Closely tied to its online store the community is a ‘meeting’ place for book lovers to connect and share.
