RGM 300 Automatic Diver
Continuing my habit of finding aviator watches I like, then realizing that brand also has nice looking diver’s watches, Thanks to Paul Hubbard for mentioning that RGM has a diver offering that looks fairly good.

It’s another watch in the long line of those that are just a modified version of the ETA 2892 movement. Many such seem over-priced to me, not adding much in the way of either artistry or functionality to be worth their price. In this case however, 2,500 feet water resistance (roughly 750 meters), a 5 mm think flat sapphire crystal, auto-magnetic casing, and other features add up to a watch where you can at least understand the $3,500 list price.
The only standard options are strap or bracelet, and shiny black or matte vintage black dial finish.

Having said that, RGM have a history of custom watch design and building, and I’m sure you could spend a bit more and get a colored dial if that was what you wanted. Considering they also actually do true guilloché, if this was more of a desk diver (and let’s be honest, most diver watches are), and you wanted a custom turned dial, I’m sure you could get that too!
