Another fairly recent acquisition, I purchased this from eBay purely because of the dial colour, knowing nothing of the brand or the watch, hoping for something reasonable. I spent $54 for this one … not the best bargain I’ve ever done (it was an AuctionSniper win for close to my max bid), but okay. It’s turned out better than expected, I have been very pleased.

Lost In Translation – Tendjewberrymud

Received a link to this little government “whoops”…


When officials asked for the Welsh translation of a road sign, they thought the reply was what they needed. Unfortunately, the e-mail response to Swansea council said in Welsh: “I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated”. So that was what went up under the English version which barred lorries from a road near a supermarket.

Somebody looking on Google Ocean (you can also see it on Google Maps) noticed what looks like the outline of a city, underneath the ocean off Africa, in one of the proposed spots considered for the location of the real city that created the myth of Atlantis.
